Analysis and Review activities for use with any piece of fiction—short story or novel. Includes task cards, plus a several different lists for whole class or independent reading options. Use for end of text analysis, assessment review or for reading accountability

These tasks can be used as a set, in groupings, or even individually. Great to wrap up a story, take notes on a story for a later project or activity, or review for a test. Also use for quick assessment, as entrance or exit tickets, reading pop quizzes, and more.

Use for whole class stories or for independent reading. Grading is based on accuracy and support. Level and quality of support may reveal how well student read and understood the complete text. Rubrics provided for whole activity scoring and for individual question basis.

The cards do have some color, but print well in black in white. Set of 32 tasks on task cards, plus 4 blank cards for teacher additions.

When working, students may be assigned to answer questions in a variety of ways:
• Answer specific question from the task set (answer all questions that refer to character or complete all quote tasks.)
• Be assigned a quantity (answer 10 of the cards, or 10 Text Tasks plus 5 quote tasks)
• Or a combination of the two
• Or complete the entire set of questions as provided—such as the complete list for full review, or a content specific list (character, plot, literary analysis.)
