Product Description
A great way to begin teaching story elements in fictional literature is the definition of a character. With the aid of this visual poster, I teach that a character can be a person (Who) or an animal (what). Once this concept is understood by the children, then I can then proceed to characters and setting. Clarification of the who and what helps when the children read a story and understand if the character is a who (person) or a what (animal).
