Product Description
Your students will write fabulous reading responses in their spiral journals with these easy-to-use reading prompts! Story elements such as character development, setting, plot events, conflict, figurative language, and much more are covered in these "cut and glue" prompts! Many of the questions encourage critical thinking with making inferences and predictions. Your students will surprise you with their exceptional responses while improving their reading comprehension!
Note: There are a total of 20 prompts in this lesson plan.

These journal prompts work well with novel studies, independent reading, or even read-aloud books. The last 3 prompts do not work as well with read-alouds as students will need to cite directly from the text, but the other 17 prompts work well with read-alouds!
