Product Description
Fiction Scavenger Hunt for fifth (5th) grade students will help your readers find great books to read in the library!

Included in this Product:
This download includes an editable PowerPoint with 32 full color cards (4 on each 8.5 by 11 inch page) with the call number and 2 full-color book covers. I’ve included authors who have written several books for fifth grade readers, as well as a few authors whose books are written on a fourth grade or sixth grade reading level. Print them once, cut them apart, and laminate them for years of use!

At your request, I've updated this product to include both "F" and "FIC" call numbers! You can edit this file to change the call numbers to whatever your spine labels look like in your library. You will need to have the PowerPoint software to download and edit this product.

This product also includes a page of teaching tips, to show you how I extend the scavenger hunt and how I include these cards in library centers to review additional library skills, like genre and alphabetical order.

Your Students Can Learn:
To find books to read for pleasure and increased comprehension and fluency; what call numbers mean; organizing call numbers into alphabetical order; sorting books by genre; talking about books with peers; and organization of your school or public library.
