Need a video guide? This movie guide is for any fiction video. Students will have to identify characters and other elements of fiction as they watch the story. Have you ever wished your students would pay more attention when they watched a video or film in class? This handout can be passed out to students before they watch a fictional movie or a video in class. Makes students accountable. This form can be used with almost any movie. They will need to fill in the character chart as they watch, determine the problem or conflict of the story, identify the climax and the resolution, and rank the video with an explanation. Includes teacher directions sheet and handout.
Teacher directions - If your class is watching a movie, this is a handy sheet to keep your students paying attention to the details. Hand it out to students before the movie and let them have a few minutes to look it over before it starts. Then students can fill it out during the video, and turn it in at the end. It is very helpful to have an activity to go with a video that you show and provides documentation that your are teaching curriculum and standards as well. This is also very useful to give to a sub, if your sub is scheduled to watch a video.
