Each page allows students to plan and develop characters, setting, theme, conflict and resolution.
Students draw pictures of characters and construct a mind map of adjectives to describe the character they are creating.
Space is given for a drawing of the setting plus a sentence to describe the setting. To differentiate I inform students of younger years to write; a simple sentence, middle years; a compound sentence and older years; a complex sentence.
Conflict and resolution:
Students can write about and draw a picture to illustrate the conflict and resolution that occurs in their story. There is also a page to help sort out the beginning, middle and end of their story to organise where the conflict and resolution fit in.
Students are asked to consider what the main message of their story is.
Includes a bonus free quick planner at the start of the pack for quick dot point planning and getting some ideas on paper before delving into the detailed plan.
