Product Description
I created these informal assessment cards because I wanted a quick way to practice the Fiction and Non-Fiction with my students after we went over this skill in class.

The questions on the cards rotate Fiction stories and Non-Fiction stories. I also included a set of blank cards so that you can make up your own questions. When I printed this, I selected 2 to a page, and then hole-punched them in the corner. I hung them on a ring, which allowed me to flip through different questions as students came up to check out their books.

It went pretty smoothly, and allowed me to “spot check” and reteach students as needed. I brought them out once a month after I taught the lesson, just to keep practicing this skill, and also kept a set in my “library game” center.

I hope you find them useful!
