We all know how difficult it is Pre K students to draw/write/respond to literature. However, it's mandated by most states so we must find a way. I found a similiar idea to this one on the internet one day, but it didn't quite have everything I needed. I created these activities so that I could slowly merge children into responding to literature by retelling a favorite part of a story in sequential order and easily keep track of each child's progress. This pack contains 11 response sheets; non-fiction, fiction (drawing and writing favorite part, beginning, middle, and end), and I’ve added a culminating response sheet. I use these in large group after reading a story, in my listening center, and send them home for homework. I also use these activities in small group after the children are familiar with the forms. Hope this works for you as well as it has for my students and me. NOTE: Please see my Fiction and Non-Fiction Study download which includes these activities on flipchart for the promethean board and powerpoing. Also, please feel free to email me if I can tailor any of the listening response forms to your needs. I will email any requests after purchase for free.
