Each of the 24 Fiction and 24 Non-Fiction Reading Response Cards are numbered and labeled with an "F" or an "N", making it easy to document and track student activities. Laminate the cards or print on cardstock, and place each set in a container. Then label the containers with the Reading Response Container Labels.
Teachers can have students draw a card from a container to receive a reading response assignment or use the Response Card Master List to assign specific assignments.
For easy tracking, have students use the Student Response Logs for both fiction and non-fiction cards. Students can store these in their reading folders or glue into a reading response notebook and keep track of their own activities.
