For use with auto/bio/fact; historical fiction and realistic fiction books: Project here means read, analyze, and respond, not make or create as the word "project" may imply. Teachers can assign books or students can choose, or perhaps you'll want to do BOTH! Use these 4 sets of reading response pages for whole class/small group/independent reading with the specified books of ANY length and at ANY reading level.
-a total of 4-5 projects (depending on use) and a total of 13 pages of NO prep. except stapling!
-3 pgs. for a free-choice, non-fiction topic (students note very important points)
-3 pages for auto/biography (can be used twice-students note character's obstacles/accomplishments)
-3 pages for historical fiction (students note historical story elements)
-3 pages for realistic fiction (students note realistic story elements)
All pages address point of view, author's purpose, literary/story elements, and text structure/organization. Text evidence is always required!
Flexible use options:
-use forms individually or collectively
-use for book talks or presentations
-use to document lit.circles/lit. studies/book clubs/novel studies
