What the students get:
---Students can refer back to their logs when completing book projects, or talking collaboratively in literacy circles.
----This helps students keep track of what page they stopped on and where to continue reading.
---Students can maintain their comprehension of the story by reviewing their notes from previous days.
---Students get practice responding to a question in writing. With this, students must practice comprehension and writing skills.
What teachers get:
---Teachers can monitor student comprehension and writing skills.
---Teachers can modify the directions to really target writing expectations, and change the questions to reinforce any skill the class may need to practice.
When you purchase this item, please note the following:
It is a Microsoft Word file, so you are able to edit it as you need to easily. This is written for students to record their current Lexile, and the book Lexile. You may continue to use this feature, or you can change it to match what reading scale your school/classroom uses, or delete it all together. My reading students were SRI tested every quarter, and they could choose a book in a range of 100 Lexiles below and 150 Lexiles above their current score.
