Fidget toys are tools that can help students focus and pay attention. They also can annoy teachers and administrators. With this basic understanding, we will investigate to see if there is a link between students use of fidget spinners and memory. From student data, we will attempt to draw conclusions and answer the question “Do fidget spinners help students in school?” Warning, this is a real experiment with real data and people. Your results will need to be interpreted and they may lead to more questions than answers.

What You Get

• A guided student exploration of fidget spinners

• Memory Word List

• Memory Shape Cards

• A class spreadsheet to draw broad conclusions with all students.
