PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I created "Field Day" to review the elements of drama with my 4th grade students AND teach them about good sportsmanship and friendship in the midst of competition! Students will enjoy reading/performing this fun drama with their classmates! It's perfect for an end-of-the-year activity. Your students will ask to perform it again and again! I've included vocabulary cards to help teach the terms of drama and a test to assess their understanding of Common Core State Standards related to dramas. I also created a second test that assess students' comprehension of the setting, characters, and events of the drama, which is also Common Core aligned.

Included:
1. Vocabulary Cards: These 12 terms related to dramas are printable for a word wall, or cut them apart and use them in a matching game.
2. Drama: This 13-page drama includes a cast of characters, dialogue for average and below-average readers, stage directions, and 2 acts with 3 scenes per act. The script was written for 22 characters, but some characters do not speak or only speak a few times. I also included a page to help you assign parts to students for reading aloud/performance of the drama.
3A. Drama Test: 10 questions that assess students' understanding of elements of a drama as well as theme; a couple of multi-select questions will help prepare students for future Common Core standardized tests. Answer Key included.
3B. Comprehension Test: 10 questions that assess students' understanding of the setting, characters, and plot of the drama. Answer Key included.
4. Standards: 4th and 5th grade Common Core and TNReady Standards are listed on separate pages.
