This game is perfect for reviewing Level 1 music theory concepts with instrumental students, or for use in class or group lessons.
Intervals: Unison to 6th
Notes: Bass C to G and Middle C to Treble G
Note values: 1, 2, 3, 4 and tied notes.
Rest values: 1, 2, 4
Dynamics: pp, p, mp, mf and f
Place the two sets of cards in their place on the board.
Place a token for each player on the “Start” bubble.
The first player draws a “fishy” card and moves the number of spaces indicated by the interval on the card. If a unison card is drawn, the player does not move.
If a player lands on a “fiendish” bubble, they draw a fiendish card and follow the instructions on the card.
The winner is the first to reach the “Fin!” bubble at the centre of the board.
