Product Description

This is my second collection of folk songs for flute. These are slightly more difficult than the first set and are suitable for second year students. The range is from F above middle C to the high F above the staff. Simple and complex meters are represented and note values include sixteenths. Students will have fun mimicking the train whistle in two of the songs and the second player will keep Grandfather’s Clock ticking until the last note.

The songs with their keys are:

The Ants Go Marching, G minor

The Bear Went Over the Mountain, F

Do Your Ears Hang Low?, F

The Farmer in the Dell, E-flat

Goober Peas, B-flat

Home on the Range, F

I’ve Been Workin’ on the Railroad, F

Kookaburra, E-flat

Michael Finnegan, F

My Grandfather’s Clock, G

Old Susanna, E-flat

Polly Wolly Doodle, E-flat

Red River Valley, G

She’ll be Comin’ ‘Round the Mountain, F
