Product Description
Grade 5 Common Core Standards Posters - ELA and Math - five different backgrounds and frames to choose from. These look great printed in color or black and white. A lighthouse background, a nature background, an owl background, a simple "paper" background with a cute pencil, and a very simple frame are the options.

The posters are letter size (8.5 x 11 inches). The text of the standards simplified and written in "We can..." language.

Most printers have an option that allows you to print two pages per sheet. You can use this option to print these posters at a smaller, half-page size (5 1/2" x 4 1/4")

In addition to being shrink-able, these fifth grade common core standards posters can be blown up to any size. The artwork and text is vector-based, which means they will retain their high image-quality at any size.

There are seventy standards for the fifth grade. There are forty four ELA standards and twenty six math standards.

The text of these fifth grade standards has been simplified to be more kid-friendly. For example...

"We can understand and know how to use a coordinate system."

instead of...

"Use a pair of perpendicular number lines, called axes, to define a coordinate system, with the intersection of the lines (the origin) arranged to coincide with the 0 on each line and a given point in the plane located by using an ordered pair of numbers, called its coordinates. Understand that the first number indicates how far to travel from the origin in the direction of one axis, and the second number indicates how far to travel in the direction of the second axis, with the convention that the names of the two axes and the coordinates correspond (e.g., x-axis and x-coordinate, y-axis and y-coordinate)."
