Fifth Grade Literature I Can Statement Cards. If you are a fifth grade teacher this is a must have for your Common Core classroom. These cards are intended to help your students understand the main focus of your Common Core reading literature lessons. We have the cards printed off on heavier cardstock, cut in half, and then bound together with a metal ring clip. That way, we can easily flip to the appropriate standard card and display on a document camera during the lesson. We also have students write the standard in a reading notebook so they can reflect after the lesson. The cards can also be printed off, cut in half, and handed out to the students. Please download our free preview for some examples.
Included in this detailed Common Core Reading Literature bundle is:
-22 “I can” statement cards that are kid friendly and easy to share with your students
-A student reflection sheet (see preview)
-A teacher reflection sheet answer key
-A teacher helpful hints page on how to use the Common Core cards
-7 Graphic Organizers to help with the instruction of the standards (character chart, fiction story puzzle, retelling chart, Venn diagram, story map, inference chart, vocabulary chart)
We pride ourselves on creating resources that we use in our 5th grade classrooms. This will be of tremendous help as you teach the Reading Literature Common Core Standards.
