This is a 20-page master packet over Figurative Language terms and usage. I usually spend a week with the pre-test on Monday, the activities during the week (about 15-20 minutes each day) and a post-test on Friday. This includes Cornell note taking, vocabulary, group work, worksheets, etc.
The work is set up for success on the State Assessments for all students having been used in a large district for six years. It was developed by classroom teachers for the students in our district (85% hispanic, 95% economically disadvantaged).
