Description

Figurative Language is an important skill for students to master. It helps with reading comprehension as well as adding color and complexity to their writing. With this activity, the students will review personification, alliteration, onomatopoeia, hyperbole, simile, and metaphors. Then, they will write their own examples for each, using the brainstorming page to help them remain on topic. Finally, all of the poems will be written on a heart.
