Identifying figurative language takes lots of practice! This deck of 30 digital task cards (hosted at Boom Learning℠) helps students review seven kinds of figurative language. Each card includes a quick sentence that asks students to determine which type of figurative device is being used.
What’s Included?
30 interactive, self-checking digital task cards that give students immediate feedback. They are hosted on the BOOM Learning website, so there’s no need to print, cut, laminate, or store paper task cards!
THE TASK: Students are asked to read a sentence, determine the type of figurative language used, and then click on the correct answer.
This is great practice for recognizing examples of:
*Alliteration
*Hyperbole
*Idioms
*Metaphors
*Onomatopoeia
*Personification
*Similes
