Get technology points with this comprehensive figurative language activity! Students will create a seven-page book featuring (selected) six types of figurative language: simile, metaphor, personification, idioms, hyperbole, and oxymoron. The are required to give a title, definition, three examples, and an image (either drawn or open-sourced). This activity also comes with a rubric. I've used this with my SpEd students, and I've seen their retention of figurative language improve significantly. Give it a try!
