This Figurative Language Bundle contains several fun things for your classroom!
First, you will receive 7 Figurative Language posters. The topics include: Simile, Metaphor, Personification, Alliteration, Onomatopoeia, Hyperbole, and Idiom. Each poster gives the topic, a short description, an example, and a coordinating clipart picture. Each poster has bright colors on a polka dot background. These are awesome for use on a bulletin board or for student folders.
The second item I included is a Figurative Language review game. This is a fully-fuctioning Jeopardy review game with 6 categories, including 2 Daily Doubles. I also included an answer key for when you play with your students.
The final thing that I included is a practice sheet. The students will need markers, crayons, colored pencils, or pens. They have to read the story, which is loaded with Figurative Language. As they find examples of Figurative Language, they have to underline them in various colors according to the code box. For example, similes are underlined in red, metaphors in blue, etc. I usually have my students do this in pairs or groups, and they love to see how many they can find!
After you purchase this product, I will be happy to accommodate any reasonable requests. For example, if there is an additional figurative language topic that you teach, I will be happy to create an additional poster for you. Just let me know in the Q&A section.
