This is a matching game to help students learn to recognize the seven types of figurative language: personification, hyperbole, alliteration, simile, metaphor, idiom, and onomatopoeia. The game consists of six different pairs for each type of figurative language; students can play a matching game to match the example with the type of figurative language. There are 42 playing cards that can be printed on cardstock and laminated to create a durable classroom game
