It is raining... Figurative Language. Demonstrate to students that under the umbrella of Figurative Language they will find many different types. The raindrops included in the set are used to write each type of Figurative Language plus write the definition on the back. Please read the ideas on implementation that I have used in my own classroom!
How I use this Figurative Language Umbrella Craft in my own classroom....
~I use the umbrellas for a classroom bulletin board display.
~I use the raindrops, with the type of Figurative Language on the front, and students write the definition on the back.
~All the raindrops will fit on the umbrella- use varying lengths of string
~Students will attach the raindrops using ribbon or string
~Use the notes sheet and add to your ELA Interactive Notebook!
~I have included blank templates if you would like students to write in everything!
