This game works with any text that has at least one example of each of the following types of figurative language:
This can be used as a group activity or as a center or learning station.
Print out both sheets (directions and answer sheet), give students some dice, and achieve common core state standard RL.4!
Students take turns rolling the dice. Each time they roll, directions are given based on the number they get. There are 5 activities to complete for each number on the die so if a student rolls the same number over and over, they still have a new task to complete.
This activity asks students to identify examples of figurative language and write examples of their own figurative language based on a text they read.
