Cut out the examples into slips of paper and place them inside the eggs. Students then have to hunt for 10 eggs. Once found, they must copy down each sentence onto their worksheet, then identify what type of figurative language is being used.
If you don't want to do it as a hunt, you could simply give each student a number of eggs to open. This would allow you to evenly distribute the types of figurative language.
I used this as a group activity, where each group hunted for 10 eggs and completed the worksheet together.
