This easy-to-use booklet covers several major components of figurative language. Each page includes a place for a definition, example from the teacher, and an example from a text. This can be used with any piece of poetry or literature! The following types of figurative language are covered in this booklet: simile, metaphor, personification, repetition, hyperbole, idiom, alliteration, onomatopoeia, and symbolism. To use, simply copy each page (front only). Then, fold the pages so the print is on the outside. Line your pages up, staple them together, and you are ready to go!
