Idioms can be such fun to teach! They can also be hilarious when you stop and think about the literal meanings. There are literally (ha, ha) thousands of idioms. So how do we help our students gain an understanding of these? We do it one step at a time. This packet provides you with an initial lesson to introduce the concept of idioms. That lesson should take about 3-4 days. There are 8 other lessons to use with your students throughout the year. Each of these lessons should take about 2 days and include a lesson plan, anchor chart, student activity, and student review page (or assessment), and key. The cartoon graphics included will keep your students wanting to come back for more!

What's in this packet? Everything you need. Just print and go.
