PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Your students are sure to love this fun "What Does the Fox Say?" themed powerpoint introducing seven types of figurative language. The types included are:
-personification
-onomatopoeia
-simile
-metaphor
-idiom
-hyperbole
-alliteration

The powerpoint introduces and defines these seven types of figurative language and gives an example. Following this introduction, there is a short interactive quiz for students to try to identify the type of figurative language used as well as the intended meaning.
To ensure student engagement, I have included an interactive notebook page which students can use to follow along with the powerpoint, filling in appropriate missing words. This can then be used in your ISNs as a reference sheet.

Figurative Language Cards for Games, Practice, Literacy Centers and More would be a great follow up for extra practice with these types of figurative language.

The adorable graphics are from Away With the Pixels!
Thanks!
