With this easy-to-use chart, students can log examples of figurative language they find in the novels they are reading. My students are required to fill one of these out and hand it in at the end of each week. We hole-punch them and clip them into our binders for easy access! Figurative language is a tricky skill for many intermediate level students. I have found that this chart is simple to implement and my students are absolute figurative language sleuths now! They are looking for it everywhere.
