This matching exercise is a new and innovative way to practice recognizing figurative language in a lesson written by Charlene Tess. It includes the definitions of: alliteration, cliché, hyperbole, idiom, metaphor, onomatopoeia, personification, and simile, and it includes a page on which students match the term to the definition.
