This is journal that students can use when learning about different types of figurative language.
This journal covers 4 types of figurative language:
The journal consists of pages where students fill in blanks that help them define each type with examples. Then there are pages where students use the examples to draw pictures of their meaning. Then the students will come up with their own examples for each type of figurative language, explain what they mean and draw pictures of them.
At the end is an exit slip page where students define each type of figurative language in the book. The final two pages are logs where students can read different stories and record they types of figurative language that are used and explain what they mean.
I turned this journal into a small booklet but it can be used on regular sized paper.
I would appreciate any feedback!
