PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Great END OF THE UNIT PROJECT! 4 Projects IN ONE!!!!

Background needed before this project can be completed:
• Direct instruction on teaching the different types of figurative language.
• Modeling to find each type of figurative language in a variety of texts.
• An understanding of each type of figurative language’s definition.
• An understanding of examples of each type of figurative language.
• Practice locating each type of figurative language in texts.

For this project, I have given you 4 different Student Direction Sheets so that it gives you the flexibility to meet the needs of your specific students. They are:
• Project 1 has the students create a “poster” for each type of figurative language and then put them together to create a Figurative Language Book.
• Project 2 has the students create one poster with only one figurative language type on it.
• Project 3 has the students create only one poster with all of the figurative language types on it.
• Project 4 has all of the choices listed on it allowing the students to pick based on the grade they want.

RL 6.4- Determine the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in a text, including figurative and connotative meanings; analyze the impact of a specific word choice on meaning and tone.
