There are 20 different task cards in this set covering seven different types of figurative language. Students will read the phrase on each task card and identify which type of figurative language is being used.
I have included TWO versions of these task cards. Each version has the same questions but allows different uses within the classroom, depending on what type of activity you are needing (independent, small group, stations).
Version 1 (QR Code Practice Activity): this version includes the set of 20 task cards, each with the question, answer choices, and QR code. Students answer each question and then scan the QR code to check for understanding as they go.
Version 2 (Assessment Activity): this version includes the set of 20 task cards, each with the question and answer choices. A separate recording form is provided for students to document their answers.
The only teacher prep needed for these activities is to print and cut out the cards! You can even laminate the cards to use again next year OR to place them in a station.
A free QR Code Scanner can be downloaded to any SMART device that has a camera (iPod, iPad or Tablet, Chromebook or Laptop, etc.)
