This game is very versatile and allows for lots of movment. It could be played as a whole class or within a small group station. It could be used as an introductory lesson or as a review game. The sky is the limit!
Place the cards throughout your room. Students stand by one SCOOT! card. Using the answer sheet, students will identify which figurative language device is being used. They will then write that on their answer sheet. When you call out SCOOT! students are to move to the next desk. For a bit more fun, have students do a certain movement before scooting (jumping jacks, star jumps, lunges, ect...) Repeat this process until all the cards have been answered or until time is up!
SCOOT! cards are in color and black and white.
