This is a match up game called I have who has with similes. I use this as a warm up the day after teaching about similes. You cut these cards up , mix them up and pass them out. Students then mill about and look for their match. Once they find it, they sit down in a circle. You can do a quick share out having students read the figurative and share the literal meaning. If you like this, make sure to check out Figurative Language Idioms! When students are done, they can keep their card and clue into their reading notebook as a reminder of what a simile is.
