All-Star ELA

Use this fun, interactive game to practice identifying four types of figurative language: similes, metaphors, personification, and hyperbole. There are 80 colorful cards in all, each with a one-sentence example of figurative language for students to analyze. QR Codes on the back of each card allow students to check their own answers, so this can be used as a self-contained center. Print your own game board using the included materials, or use an existing Surprise Slides game board to play. Alternatively, use the game cards as stand-alone task cards. An answer key is also included for times when a QR reader is not available.

NOTE: To enjoy all features of this game, a color-printer is strongly recommended for printing materials.
