Description

My students love learning about Figurative Language, but sometimes the different terms can become confusing. To review for the big test, I created these 32 task cards to help them identify examples of the different types in a multiple choice format.

These 32 task cards review:
*Idioms
*Similes
*Metaphors
*Personification
*Onomatopoeia
*Alliteration
*Hyperboles

An answer key is also included, as well as a student answer sheet.

I use task cards in my classroom by first playing a scoot game to review, then we go over them full class. I then put the cards into my math centers for extra review throughout the next 2 weeks. I use them for my small group intervention time, as well as having parent volunteers use them when they are working one on one with students. I use them all the time!

Thank you to MelonHeadz Illustrating for their adorable clip art.

I have free task card answer sheets available in my store if needed (2 different sizes).

Please feel free to visit me at my blog to see how I use task cards in my own classroom.
