Are you searching for a Halloween activity to engage and review? Do you want to show students how common figurative language is in everyday life? These task cards utilize lyrics from popular Halloween songs. This will make practicing and applying knowledge of figurative language exciting and engaging.

These cards can be used two different ways. In the same product, you will have access to the lyrics as an open-ended and multiple choice question. This allows you to meet your students unique needs as a whole or individually. The following figurative language is showcased in the purchase: idiom, simile, hyperbole, alliteration, metaphor, personification, oxymoron, and allusion.

This purchase includes:

- 24 Task Cards with Quotes From Popular Halloween Songs

- 24 Task Cards with (the same) Quotes From Popular Halloween Songs and Multiple Choice Responses

- Student Answer Recording Sheet

- Teacher Answer Key

Disclaimer: I do not own the rights to these songs. While all the lyrics included in this purchase are clean and classroom appropriate, the songs as a whole may not be appropriate for school. Only clean, school acceptable sections of the song are used in the task cards.
