The Summer Figurative Language Task Cards provide an opportunity to introduce or review figurative language within a seasonal context.
Each card has a sentence using figurative language and three answer choices for students to consider. Use the Figurative Language Task Cards as a center station, for an introductory activity to your daily class, for whole-class instruction, for a partner review activity, etc.
There are 28 cards, a definition of terms page, two answer documents, an answer key, and a “What Does It All Mean” interactive finale page. For your convenience, I’ve included a black and white version. To ensure the longevity of the cards, glue them to tag board or construction paper and laminate them.
