Three boys––Brock, Caleb, and Ryan ate lunch at The Figurative Language Café with a girl named Daria. After each kid told Sue a different item that he or she wanted, her order pad danced away with the California Raisins. The poor waitress has no idea what the friends ordered! Be a pal and sort through the clues, so Sue won’t get fired. The items requested, in no particular order, were: 500 pound burger, Hot Dog That Looks Like a Cat, Lilly’s Luscious Linguine, and The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread.

Logic problems involve higher level / critical thinking skills and are great for early finishers, for use in centers, or even to reward students with a fun and engaging activity. Students may complete this problem independently or in cooperative groups. Make class fun with this challenging logic problem.
