Whether you are just introducing these terms for the first time or it is review, this figurative language and sound devices foldable is so helpful. This is also a great addition to an interactive notebook.
I have included in this product a variety of options to use for the foldable. (Front with terms, blank front, inside with definitions and examples, inside missing everything, inside missing definitions , inside missing examples.) These varieties really help with classroom differentiation.
Once you decide on the front and inside you want to use, you should make double-sided copies of the foldable so that they are able to be folded and glued into a notebook.
When students are getting ready to work with it, they should cut around the outside of the large box. Then they should cut the lines below the places for the names of the figurative language and sound devices. They should only put glue on the large box that says glue. This will allow the foldable to work correctly. After students have cut out the foldable, they may then take notes on the figurative language and sound device terms.
