This interactive project will keep your students engaged, learning, and teaching others! The project involves creating an iMovie, centered on a theme of the students' choice, which demonstrates their knowledge of alliteration, hyperboles, onomatopoeia, metaphors, similes, personification, and idioms. Students are required to explain the figurative language and explain its meaning.
Included are two files - the project guidelines and the rubric (rubric includes a score for content, presentation, planning/time management, and collaboration/cooperation).
Completed iMovies will reflect the students' understanding of figurative language and can be used among their classmates and future classes to teach and review figurative language.
