Figure it Out: Daily Routine Vocabulary

A hands on activity where students use what they already know to figure out the meanings of new words. Students use clues on description cards to figure out which of the pictures represent the new word on the card.

This set includes over 100 cards to learn/practice 24 new words, allowing you to differentiate and choose which work best for your students.

I originally designed this set as a way for students, especially fast finishers, to learn more/extra vocabulary than what we had previously studied/covered in class. Now, I sometimes use it as a an activity during class (in pairs/groups) to introduce new vocabulary.

I added a vocabulary list with only the words included in this activity as well as 2 pages of exercises/practice that can be used in class or as homework.
