PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students show mastery of figurative language when they are able to use and produce it themselves. This lesson uses characters to teach the constructs of similes, metaphors and idioms. The worksheets inside are designed to provide scaffolding for students as they produce their own figurative language.

Activities include:
Identifying similes vs. metaphors
Creating similes and metaphors
Studying idioms
Assigning students roles based on original characters- Lady Simile, Monsieur Metaphor and Uncle Idiom.
