I am using these sheets as a warm up for a child working on learning the alphabet and also as assessments. The pages vary, from random missing letters, missing vowels, and missing consonants in both upper and lower case. Almost all pages follow concepts of print, working left to right.
On six other pages, the letters are written up and down. I cover all but the row being worked on. This is just to change things up, so I know that the student I’m working with isn’t just memorizing the pattern.
I’ve placed these sheets in page protectors so that the student can use a dry erase marker and the pages reused, and have made photocopies for a written record for a formative assessment.
