This product is a perfect follow up to my product Sound in Film - Movie Trailers.
In this lesson, students learn about what goes into sound editing within an animation movie. Students will get a behind-the-scenes at glimpse at the sound editing from the feature film Wall-E. Students love to see the creative means used to produce common, and uncommon, sound effects. This is followed up by students analysis of the feature film, this time from the lens of a sound editor. This assignment has students think critically about what it takes to be a sound editor. My students LOVE this assignment and Wall-E is such a masterpiece when it comes to sound editing!
This could be used in a film studies course, a drama course, or language arts during a film studies unit.
