Are you looking for a fun activity to have your students practice reading and writing words with ending consonant blends SK, ST, SP, ST, ND, NT, NG, NK, LF, LP, LT, FF, LL, SS, ZZ, CK? This unit is the answer to your search! Students will hunt for hidden words using a magnifying glass*, then write the words they find under their correct sort heading.
The ending blends unit only uses short vowel words in all of the 10 worksheets. Students love coloring the picture when they are finished finding all the words!
These worksheets are perfect as a small group activity, independent work activity during ELA rotations, or as a homework page. I was able to easily find magnifying glasses at the dollar store and they’ve lasted for years!
