Anything involving "feeding" an animal is always a hit with my preschoolers in speech therapy! Final Consonant Flies is an activity for speech therapy targeting the phonological process of final consonant deletion. Included in this download are 100 words for final consonant deletion: 15 words each for /p, t, k, s, m, n/ and 10 words for /f/. Words are all on fly images, and students get to feed the flies to the frog!
Print frog, laminate, and attach to kleenex (or other) box. Cut out frog's mouth so there is a big enough opening to slide through a fly picture. Laminate and cut out flies to feed the frog. Have students say each word on the fly your desired number of times before getting to "feed" the frog!
OR, laminate & cut out flies & place around the room. Have students use a fly swatter to swat the flies they find, and then say the word on the fly your desired number of times!
*For anyone wanting to save on printer ink, a black & white version of the flies are included in addition to the colored flies!
