This financial literacy project is a set of guided notes and activities to be completed in-class with the teacher over a 10-day span. It also includes guidelines and instructions for a final essay, final project, and presentation
The students select a career and calculate a monthly budget based on the 50/30/20 model. The students learn to make budgeting decisions, write checks, balance a checkbook, grocery shop/menu plan, and more. It includes key vocabulary in the first lesson and many opportunities for enriching classroom discussion.
